Behind the success of Redmond Economic Development, Inc. (REDI) are dedicated community leaders who volunteer their time and expertise to ensure the organization's strength and prosperity. One such leader is Alisa Dunlap, a REDI Board Member and Central Oregon Regional Business Manager for Pacific Power. Her contributions are instrumental in building a thriving economy in Redmond.

Alisa Dunlap has been serving on the REDI Board of Directors for over a year. Her dedication to REDI’s mission of fostering smart growth and economic vitality in Redmond is evident in her active participation and leadership. As a panelist at the REDI Annual Luncheon, she shared insights on the development of Redmond's infrastructure, emphasizing the transition "from ground to grid."

Why Alisa Joined REDI

Alisa’s decision to join the REDI Board was fueled by her belief in the organization's crucial role in Redmond’s economic health. She appreciates the board’s ability to connect with the business community, creating opportunities for collaboration with leaders who are shaping the region’s future. Her position allows her to communicate vital infrastructure information to the business development community, fostering champions of information who can provide accurate updates throughout Redmond.

Enhancing Business Growth

Through her role, Alisa also promotes Pacific Power’s commercial and industrial programs, enabling businesses to access incentives and expand. Her involvement with the government affairs committee during the last legislative session showcased her commitment to driving economic development.

The Power of Connections and Information

Alisa values REDI’s strength in forming essential connections and sharing precise, timely information with both prospective businesses and those looking to grow in Redmond. She describes the REDI team as "sophisticated, nimble, and deeply in tune with the community’s priorities." This blend of insight, relationships, and responsiveness is key to REDI’s effectiveness in propelling Redmond’s economic success.

Getting to Know Alisa

As an active board member, Alisa plays a significant role in REDI's strategic initiatives. Her favorite REDI event is the annual luncheon, although she expresses a keen interest in the "Made in Redmond tour," which she hopes to attend in the future.

When it’s time to relax, Alisa enjoys visiting Junction Roastery in Redmond. This spot offers her a chance to unwind and connect with the community.

Alisa wants the community to know that despite the complexities of the utility business, she is approachable and enjoys engaging through questions and conversations. With 15years of experience at Pacific Power, she has cultivated a robust network of experts to assist in finding answers. Her role is diverse, ranging from meeting industrial customers to engaging with elementary school children, collaborating with nonprofits, coordinating power outage communications, and attending board meetings. She feels fortunate to have a role that is both professionally and personally rewarding. Outside of work, Alisa loves spending time outdoors and is always eager for new hiking trail or dining recommendations.
