Redmond Upgrades to First Class
At the peak of the summer travel season in July, Alaska Airlines introduced a new aircraft to Redmond, a Boeing 737-800, in its response to sky high demand for air service from Redmond to Seattle and Portland. This is good news because it means that the economy in the Central Oregon region is growing enough to sustain increasing travel requests to these destinations. The Redmond Airport works with air carriers to strategically plan its routes of travel outside of Redmond to connecting cities. If we don’t fill planes then we may lose routes to the cities we like to travel to. It is our hope that we continue fill planes to other destinations Redmond services, such as Phoenix, Denver, and Salt Lake City.
