Nine companies to vie for slot at BVC

Organizers of the Bend Venture Conference announced Wednesday the nine companies that will compete for a chance to pitch their businesses in the growth-stage competition at next month’s Bend Venture Conference.

The selected growth-stage companies will compete for $400,000, an amount that’s likely to increase, according to a news release from Economic Development for Central Oregon. On Tuesday, EDCO announced the semifinalists for the early-stage competition, which provides $15,000 to the winner.
