Once a sleepy bedroom town along Highway 97, citizens of Redmond are witnessing an awakening. Credit for this renaissance is a combination of City leadership responsive to community input as well as funding from Urban Renewal Projects over a 20-year timeline. The Hwy 97 bypass, once thought as the last stake in the coffin of Redmond’s retail and commercial grave, actually has provided us a canvas to reinvent a downtown lifestyle that is attractive, functional and family friendly. Key happenings that show Redmond’s rising are: the Redmond City Hall renovation, Centennial Park expansion, and most recent is the New Redmond Hotel renovation.
