Bend-Redmond MSA Ranked #1 in Top Small Cities -- Two Years in a Row!

In the latest report from the Milken Institute, the Bend-Redmond MSA retained its rank as #1 in the list of the top 10 best-performing small cities for the second year in a row.  Nine index components are used to measure economic performance. In the small city realm, the Bend-Redmond MSA showed improvement in six out of the nine indexes in the last year. Our top indicator rankings were:  #1 in One-Year wage growth, #2 in One-year job growth, and #2 in the number of High-Tech Industries. 

The report also mentions three factors contributing to these rankings. Lower business and living costs, Bend's diverse high-tech sector, and Redmond's sturdy and expanding manufacturing sector.
